How do you make the perfect pie crust you ask?
Tip: Freeze the flour and the mixing bowl overnight.
Here is my recipe- ENJOY!
2 1/2 c of flour
2 t of sugar
1 c butter (2 sticks) YES!
1/2 t of salt
1/2 c cold water
Take your metal mixing bowl that was in the freezer overnight ... Cube the butter with the flour, salt, and sugar. I like using my hands and creating a crumbly texture. Use a pastry cutter if you like. Add 1/4 cup of the cold water, and mix it with your hands. When the water is absorbed, add another 1/4 cup of cold water. That should be enough to pull the dough together. Sprinkle some flour on your work surface and knead the dough just a couple times to work into a nice ball. Cover it in plastic wrap, and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to rest while you work on the filling. Choose any filling you like.
